New Charitable Partner for 2018: Faith’s Lodge
Historically Fire on Ice has functioned as a break-even contest, with all proceeds being paid out to the teams as prize money, often with the payouts being finalized two days before the start of the contest. 2018 will be no exception to that, but with the celebration of the 10th year of this truly unique contest, we wanted to add a charitable component to this year’s contest.
Proceeds from a special silent auction and raffle will benefit Faith’s Lodge, a non-profit organization that supports parents and families coping with the death or medically complex condition of a child. The retreat center in Danbury, WI (“the Lodge”) provides a serene place for parents and families to participate in activities, talk with others facing similar challenges and enjoy the beautiful cabin-like North Woods setting to reflect on the past, renew strength for the present and build hope for the future.
While there is a cost to stay at the Lodge, no one is ever turned away for financial reasons. That’s why even the smallest donation can make a difference to the Lodge and families in need, from supporting their stay at the Lodge or putting snack items in the pantry for guests to enjoy. Visit the Lodge’s website (www.faithslodge.org) for more information on the organization, the amenities at the Lodge and current programs for parents and families.
THANK YOU to the following for your donations to our Faith’s Lodge fundraiser:
